Catch Up

Well it's been a couple months and it's time for a catch up. Derek and I went to the Timpanogoes Caves in August in Utah before I went on a trip to Oregon for my cousin Cameron's wedding.

The hike up to the caves was about 1.5 miles uphill. There were so many switchbacks!

Once we got inside the cave it was a lot cooler. It was a really fun trip

Inside the caves we got to see all the stalagmites. I would recommend the adventure :)

In Oregon in August we had an 80th birthday party for my Grammy (my mom's mom). It was such a fun time!

The daughters and granddaughters dressed up in her clothes for a fashion show!! Here is Tiffany in Grammy's cheerleading outfit from POCATELLO high school! And my cousin Erica in her wedding dress (corset and all!).

I wore Grammy's outfit she left her wedding in. Such a cute jacket and skirt. Grammy was like a size 0 so that skirt was definately not zipped all the way :)

Cameron and Kristen got married on August 28th in the Portland Oregon temple. Such a beautiful couple! Cameron is one month younger than me and we are really close. It was so great to be a part of his wedding and get to know his wonderful bride.

At the reception they had Grammy's and Grammy's mother's wedding dress on display. It was really beautiful.

Here is the whole family (minus Derek) at Cameron's wedding. We are a good looking bunch - but could we have worn brighter colors?! :)

My birthday was on the 9th. I'm officially 23! Derek's parents came over and we had a yummy dinner and presents. I got a cover for my phone from Derek and a watch and a scrub top. I got lots of beautiful jewelry from my family and an adorable spider candy dish from Tiffany!

Dental Hygiene was in the homecoming parade. We dressed up as tigers. Here is my friend Hollie and I. Derek was there to cheer us on. Our float got first place out of all the club's floats!

We officially sold Derek's scooter. We have been trying to for about a year and we finally parted with it. We will miss you dear friend

When I was in Oregon I picked 30 pounds of blueberries with mom. Cameron and Kristen stayed the night with us a week after their wedding to pick up things in Rexburg and brought me my 15 pounds of frozen blueberries. Yup they were frozen :)

This last weekend our dental hygiene class went to Boise for the Idaho Dental Hygiene Association Annual Session. We all did research projects. My friends (from left) SaraJoy, me, Hollie and Kristi were in a group together and did research on oral cancer. The prognosis and diagnosis hasn't changed in over 50 years so we talked about how we were "stuck in the past" and wore the hats they used to wear in the 60s. It was a hit.

Turns out we won 1st place out of 14 booths ans got a cash price! We were really happy!

Our garden exploded and this is our latest harvest of tomatoes - crazy!!! We've been making tomato puree to use for spaghetti sauce and tomato sauce throughout the winter and lots and lots of salsa. Not bad for our first garden ever :)
