Thanksgiving Decor

My new space for decorating has been on top of my piano. We have some cute Thanksgiving characters I was given for our wedding and some mini squash. I also got a new runner that is made of stichted leaves :)

Shooting in Declo

We shot some shotguns across the river in Declo in November. We sure have a good time there. We shot at targets and clay pigeons.

I don't think you can see it but Derek shot a floating log in the river five times in a row. I was quite impressed :)

Halloween Time

Derek and I had a fun Halloween season. We made cookies and pumpkins!

Salt Lake Trip with Institute Choir

I am a part of the Institute Choir here at ISU and earlier this semester we visited Salt Lake. We recieved a tour of the tablernacle organ (about 11, 000 pipes I believe) and got to watch the Mormon Tablernacle Choir practice. We had dinner up there and had an awesome time.


This is the Heber C. Kimball Memorial. I traveled with three other girls and we got there a little early. We wandered around downtown SLC and found a park that had this memorial for Heber C. Kimball and family.

We also walked up a big flight of stairs to this beautiful mansion. We wondered what it was. Turns out it's a home that has been donated and parties can now be given there. Here is the beautiful view of the conference center from the top of the stairs.

My Birthday

Here goes at an update of this semester :) As you can see, 21 credits kept me a little busy but I am officially done for the semester. I finished with 5 As and 4 B+s. Not too shabby :)

The most recent event since my blogging days was my birthday. I turned 22 on October 9th

On the Sunday after my birthday Daralyn, Steve and Kara came for my birthday. They decorated the whole house!

Steve made me a piano cake! I asked him to make it simple this year (some of you might remember my volcano cake from last year :) - so he goes ahead and made me a grand piano cake! Thanks Steve!
