I need to brag about my husband

My husband is officially the College of Business

STUDENT OF THE YEAR!!!!

I am so proud of his hard work!! There is a banquet on April 24th and he gets to give a short speech. Also, he gets to lead the college of business students in the processional at graduation and we as family get to sit in specific seating for the ceremony.


He also has an interview with Premier Technology on Friday for a full time job!


On another note, here are a few pictures at the Idaho Business Leader of the Year event from last week. Derek is the president of Alpha Kappa Psi, the business fraternity of ISU. They put on an event where they honor a businessperson from Idaho and that person, as well as his administration, teaches the business classes for two days. A banquet is also held. Derek's parents came for the event and Derek got to know the awardee. Doug Sayer is the president of Premier Technology and he liked Derek so much he offered him a job.

Here's a good story about Doug. He met Steve and Daralyn at the banquet and came up to them saying what a great son they have. He also told Daralyn that he was trying to convince their son to work for him and if she had any mother influence would she use it please? Daralyn said "Well, he still listens to his mama sometimes". :) It was a great night!

I am so proud of Derek's hardwork. He will graduate in May and soon have a job. He does a wonderful job supporting me and providing for me!
