Snap, Snap, Snap

I got a new camera for my graduation gift and I am so excited about it! I got a Nikon D3100. I am so looking forward to taking pictures of our baby and nature and getting better! So far I have read the manual, watched tutorials online and just practiced a bit with it. I'm going to borrow a photography book from a friend and possibly take a class. Thank you to everyone for the nice graduation gifts and for my sweet husband pitching in the rest and researching all the cameras :)

Here are just a few of the first shots we've taken. The first are at Derek's parents house and the last are on a hiking trail called City Creek.

As far as pregnancy updates go I am doing very well. I get tired in the evenings and can tell the baby is growing but overall feeling great. Not much of a belly yet. We're at 18 weeks and on June 24 at 2:30pm we get to have our ultrasound to find out the gender!! We're really excited! We are thinking it's a boy. Any guesses from the crowd?

I still need to post a few graduation pictures. I had a great party with lots of family and friends that came down. It was wonderful and the sun came out just long enough for us to have a backyard BBQ. We have about 6 National Board exams to take this year. Hopefully this isn't too boring but here's the list:

1. National Written Board Exam (6 hour computer multiple choice): March, Boise - PASSED
2. Restorative Clinical Board (placing and carving fillings): May, Boise - PASSED
3. Process of Care Exam (1 1/2 hour computer test): May, Odgen - Find out in July

4. Local Anesthesia Written Exam (injections): June 9, Pocatello - PASSED

5. Local Anesthesia Clinical Exam (give injection on a patient): June 9, Pocatello - PASSED

6. National Clinical Board Exam (removing deposit on a patient): June 11, Pocatello - take TOMORROW!!

That's the update on what tests I've been taking. It will all be over tomorrow. Hallejujah! It sure has been hard to find a patient for my last test (they have to have a lot of build up. My patient hasn't had his teeth cleaned in 30 years!), but I found someone reliable so I just have to hope everything goes as planned tomorrow.

In addition to taking tests I am babysitting three days a week (about 17 hours) three children ages 6, 6, and 3. They just play together all day in their backyard, it's been lots of fun. Derek and I are planning our summer full of trips, camping, going to Oregon, spending time in Burley, playing with our camera and getting ready for baby. Life is so good to us :)

Oh we also are in a new ward now. Our University Married Student ward was dissolved and we are in a family ward now. It has been so fun getting to know our neighbors that are in our ward now. I have a talk on Sunday. Any ideas about the right, responsibility and results of choices? My talk is on Pres. Monson's talk in Priesthood session in October 2011. If so please let me know this has been a busy week with three Board exams! :)

PS Last post was my 100th post!
