i am grateful for my husband

- where did you meet? salem, oregon, single's ward, summer of 06

- how long did you date before you got married? 16 months

- how long have you been married? 11 months on friday

- what is your favorite feature of his? his smile, and big tough biceps :)

- what is your favorite quality of his? his willingness to serve in the gospel and in other places. i love that he loves to have people over for dinner. welcome others to the ward and help them feel wanted and important. also, he is a very generous person!

- does he have a nickname for you? pottattie :)

- what is his favorite color? umm blue? i'm not sure

- what is his favorite food? pupusas, and butterscotch cookies, and dried mangoes (the good kind), and dulce de leche

- what is his favorite sport? to play- tennis and recently racquetball

- when and where was your first kiss? 6 days after our first date on the couch in my parent's basement after watching "Two Weeks Notice"

- what is your favorite thing to do as a couple? recently- watch ISU sporting events after a long day of school and work. he is into the sports when we are there, but not obsessed when we are at home and need to watch sports all the time. i love that.

- do you have any children? not yet

- does he have a hidden talent? yes, he's a great singer but doesn't brag about it. and i know that i won't convince him to join the choir with me :) but he sings great next to me at church

- how old is he? 25

- who said "I love you" first? i did, only after knowing for a few months that he wanted to say it. once i finally said it, he could too.

- what do you admire most about him? his determination. he has interviewed with melaleuca in idaho falls and it went really great. he provides for our family and works very hard. he teaches me a lot about business, first impressions and connections, and using our capacities.

- do you think he will read this? eventually :) I love you Derek!!
