Derek and I are officially back in Idaho. We are so grateful that our ole' Sable made it back. 160,000 miles and counting!! We stopped in Denver on the way and stayed in Burley with Derek's parents Thursday night. On Friday we moved all our furniture and items from a storage unit back into our old apartment. Although we had to move our things for the summer even though nobody occupied it during those months there were some improvements. Our walls have been painted from a greenish foe wood, to WHITE! :) And the carpets were shampooed.
Things are getting back into school mode now. I am taking Chemistry, Spanish, Pilates, English Lit (8th to 18th Century British Lit), and Lit Analysis. I have decided to minor in English. I am also continuing to work at the Health Science library - now with a raise at $6.75 an hour - wahooo! Derek will be finished with his marketing degree in May and is working at the Bannock Development Center. His first day is today!
Other news is we purchased bicycles! This was our treat to ourselves for working hard this summer. Our friend Jon owes "Barrie's Sports" with his family and got us a great deal! We have loved going on night rides although I must say I need to improve my quad strength! :)
Another update is, as some of you know, our kitchen table was stolen last May. When we were originally putting our possessions into the storage unit we only had some men for lifting for a short period of time...so we brought our table and couch down by the grass. They couldn't fit that load...so a half hour later we came back and the table was gone! The ugly blue couch was still there but the table we went out and picked together was not. So, this week we have been hunting. We found a furniture place that was going out of business and convinced them to give us just a table instead of a set (we still have the tall chairs) at a pretty good price. Along with a brown couch cover our place is really coming together (that means some of you should visit!! :)
We're enjoying the warm (not hot) weather and getting used to our schedules. We are back in our same ward and love it - and although there are lots of old friends gone there are new couples in the ward too which are nice and which means we are not the youngest. :) Let the semester begin!
